"In the deed, the glory"
Good idea, Josh. Thanks!
Your team. All the time.
Excited to see how Rex does. I think he's going to shock some people in the 40, and really shine in the agility drills. I doubt he runs sub 4.5, but if there is one guy who I know would prove me wrong, it's Rex.
I've got a Burkhead story coming up here this morning. Stay tuned for that.
So...with Marquise Goodwin of Texas running a 4.27 in the 40 the Oakland Raiders have left the combine. They know all they need to know.
Anyone know Rex's bench #'s?
Saw somewhere 21
Rex runs a 4.69
Damn. Not good for his stock
That's his first attempt though.
Go back and watch the Arizona bowl game, its crazy to see how much more explosive he was then. His style has changed considerably I think.

This is correct.
Didn't get out well there.

For the record Johnathan Franklin out of UCLA ran a 4.47. Best RB time is still Knile Davis who ran a 4.3.
Agreed seems like his game speed is faster than his 40 would indicate.
He is agile an has great vision and lean. He won't be winning foot races to the goalline. It's hard to find a comparison in the league right now. I guess he's a poor mans ray rice, mewelde Moore was mentioned by some site as well.
That is a terrible number, and will drop him in the draft.
Rex's second 40 is an unofficial 4.75
Is Rex still hobbled? His starts are terrible
It is flat out criminal watching him run nearly 2 months after the season and he is still noticeably hobbling and unable to reach his top end speed.
That was painful to watch.
Vertical and broad jump numbers show Rex as solid athlete. 40-yard dash isn't indicative of everything. Overblown in some cases.
not everything but it will adversely affect his draft status regardless... running 4.7 for a RB that isn't 230+ pounds is awful in the NFL. He'll get drafted but he didn't help himself at all at the combine IMO. Would you rather have a RB that jumps high and far.... or one that is very fast?
But a back of his height and size should be at 4.5. Or else he'll be asked to add weight and become a fullback
