"So what’s with the uproar over graduate assistant Vince Marrow’s departure to Kentucky? Husker fan sites lit up like a Union Pacific dispatch board with criticism that coach Bo Pelini couldn’t find a spot for Marrow. For Bo to find that spot would have meant dumping one of his current assistants, all under the approval of a new athletic director, 20 days before a bowl game."
Sam, I think the RR guys on here work for BNSF.
It took his connections and junior college relationships to Boca Raton?

Oath Before Orders
BTW, what's your craft?
Oh yeah, you told me that already. North Platte?
How would you know, you didn't read the gist of it. Your comment is off base, and unwarranted ...but you get to own it, as you have a right to be wrong. You can disagree, but to use that description of a Sam McKewon article doesn't reflect accurately on Sam in the least.
...It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Will it "sink" Nebraska's ship? Absolutely not. But I seriously disagree with the notion that Marrow was merely "helpful."
Beyond that, I still don't know why the lack of an open position is continuously used as a reasoning. If Bo wanted to make room, it could have easily come after the bowl game. Bo made a conscious decision to let Marrow go. I wish Marrow the absolute best of luck, but I still don't like this move.
Conductor for the UP.
Clinton iowa to missouri valley.
The more I have thought on this, the more I am realizing how much I agree with you.
As another member of the board phrased it, it could have easily been a scenario where Bo tells Marrow "Hang tight and I'll take care of you." Like I said: Pretty clear that this was a conscious decision. At least to me.
I think I am coming round to the fact that Bo should have found a way to keep him. Afraid our recruiting class may completely come apart.
One of the absolute worst articles I have read in a long, long time.
You have a Sam Cotton is better then Greg Hart reference, hysterical. Sam Cotton is awful, just like Jake. Greg Hart or should I say, "3-star TE from OH" is practically going to start this year while Sam Cotton & David Sutton sit around scratching their asses.
Then you have a, Marrow isn't that big of a deal reference. When in fact he was going to snag your 2013 & 2014 TE starter in Sandland, welp he's gone. He got Miles, welp he's gone. He personally landed Love & McWilson and both of them are now looking around.
Lastly you have a shout out to some nerd from NE who has no BCS offers but if not for real LB recruits committed, you'd have Sam wishing the Schlesager or whatever his name is getting an offer.
Sam, please stop letting UNL aka Tom Osborne have you write PR fluff to hopefully boost ticket sales for a monumental ass-kicking in 2.5 weeks when Georgia destroys Nebraska by 5-6 TD's. These articles aren't helping, nor is you trying to calm the masses with bull about losing Marrow, aka the absolute best recruiter on staff.

Bamboo, or else...
Time for a serious retraction ?
Marrow was a devestating loss... don't know how you can down play it.
