Kobe looked tired the whole game. With his great competitive spirit he willed himself to play at a high level and actually had two earlier injuries in the game where he probably should have sat out.
There was a real conundrum for the Lakers and D'antoni because the Lakers would not have won without Kobe and they need the wins to stay in the play off race, but he/they pushed too hard and his body finally just gave out.
This is the worst. Kobe and the Lakers have been high entertainment the last couple weeks because of the must win scenario. Now they're Dwight and Pau. Bleh.

I would be surprised if this didn't equal his retirement. Kobe isn't the type that is going to keep playing if he can't dominate and an Achilles is tough to come back from
