Breaking news: Creighton plans to accept an offer to join the Big East, the OWH has learned. http://ow.ly/j1C33 #CUBigEast
not surprising, but a good move for them
It doesn't matter... as soon as Nebrasketball gets going in the next few years no one will care about Creighton anymore
I really didn't think they would get the bid.
Serious congrats to Creighton and the entire University.
This is huge.
I agree... Tim Miles will make people forget about Creighton hoops. It still angers me that all of their fans claim to be husker football fans. you can't root for NU in one sport and jays in the other and call yourself a true Husker
Its still Nebraska, congratulations Bluejays. It is a major coup for them.
Yep. No matter if we like them or not, it's good for the state, it's good for Omaha.
Nebraska Old Gold Knights
I love the Jays and Huskers. I have always supported both. And this is exciting for Creighton.

Oath Before Orders
I disagree. I understand that some people are passionate about both programs but it just seems very odd to me. It'd be like me being a Sox and Cubs fan because they were both in Chicago.
It's just weird to me.
Who do you cheer for when its creighton v N?

Teein' Off on Links
You're not a diehard Husker fan, at least not bball
Goal in life is to save America from Obamacare
Edit: I meant to quote beardown2489 -
This is exactly how I feel. I can respect Creighton, and Im very happy for them to get the invite, but Im not a fan and never will be. If your a fan of both that's cool, for all I know your a CU alum, but whatever the case, not everybody needs to like CU or hope that they do well in the Tourney.
This is really big for CU and Omaha, I can't wait for all of the paperwork to be signed. This can only be good for the state and even exposure for NU on the east coast, and might lead to UNO being in the Valley someday.
Also, not to take away from Creighton's day, but I can't help but think about how none of this might of happened if NU hadn't left the B12. Funny how it has played out for the state of Nebraska. #DominoEffect

No, the INS isn't chasing him; Taylor Martinez just runs like that. . . .
Losing Echenique, Gibbs and Doug McDermott most likely Creighton is gonna get throttled in the new Big East
And I'm with Scarlet and Bonez you can't be diehard of both schools
People can say what they want. I like both programs. Period. End of story. I don't ask that everyone does the same. Or even understand it. But to say I'm not a diehard Husker fan is plain assanine. And in regards to beardown's comparison between the Cubs and Sox- When has Chicago ever had a problem getting national exposure and recognition? I support things that are positive for the state and the city of Omaha. And can gain some exposure for both. Let's pick on UNO for awhile while we're at it.
In regards to Creighton, losing those three will undoubtedly hurt. But their history of making the tourney and joining the new Big East should provide a nice boost for recruiting. I don't foresee the Jays disappearing from the basketball map.
And I'm also excited about the future of Husker hoops and Coach Miles. The day is coming I believe when Huskers vs Jays might garner some national interest.
I hardly ever disagree with Blitz. This here is no different. I agree bro.
I can see Creighton fans cheering for the Huskers in football since they don't have a team. But bball is just wrong
I think it is great for Creighton, but then again I really could care less. I could barely root for them over about 3 teams in the B1G, in any sport. Can wait for Miles to take the state over in BB, then I only have to hear about soccer. Something else I really don't care about.
