Nebraska's final 3 visiting weekends they hosted 13 prospects... If Scott, Johnson and Veii are N (doubtful, but could be) that would mean that of the 13 visitors only 2 (Clark and Adeboyejo) committed elsewhere. If those 11 that ultimately were "N" only 2 had committed prior to the visit (Marcus Newby, Kevin Maurice).
Found that interesting. That is all.
I'm still hoping we get Johnson for the sweep of Jan. 18th visitors
I hope so too.
Just looking at that stat though...what a hell of a job by this staff digging out quality prospects to round out the class after all the disappointments, I think they're finally starting to understand the recruiting game a bit
That's quite impressive. Never can give up on these kids.
that is about where my confidence is with these guys.
small part of me thinks the reason they told Veii about being a CB or Nickel might be because of a good shot at Scott... who knows tho.
I don't have the numbers for '11-'12, but here are the numbers from the '06-'07 season to '10-'11 season:
Best months 'closing' (measured by OV/Signed):
January: 57.81% (64 OV, 37 Signed)
November: 53.19% (47 OV, 25 Signed)
December: 47.37% (19 OV, 9 Signed)
September: 46.15% (52 OV, 24 Signed)
October: 30.77% (39 OV, 12 Signed)
makes sense that later in the recruiting cycle would yield higher dividends.
Right. And at this point in the process -- Closing at a rate lower than your mention in the OP would be troubling to me.
