What do you think of our QB's this year? I think Hackenburg will be damn good, but his team will struggle. I don't see Max Browne being great. This is all based on the intense research I conducted by watching the Elite 11 and a little thing I like to call "the eye test". Hackenburg just sounded like a QB

First thing i take from the article before i break it down: Man 2004 was an aweful year for quarterbacks.
Edit. Also, 2006 is damn impressive.

I must give credit to an old friend at HuskerMax -- I saw him post it first.
Scouting is a tough gig. Between major college football programs and pro football, millions are spent on trying to figure out who the next big guy is.
I've never really gotten into recruiting. I love the NFL draft.
I'll say this, 5* prospects probably turn out more often than 4* and 3*, am I right?
Even NFL scouting agencies and staff will only hit about 10-20% of the time. I think it's something like only 1/12 quarterbacks drafted in the first round ever go on to win a Super Bowl.
But the odds are still better than quarterbacks drafted in the 2nd or later. So you have to figure theymight be doing something right.
