I am straight done with this board and all the rest of them at the same time. This used to be a place where we could come together and discuss/fantasize about the possibilities of Husker football, instead it has turned into a constant argument between people willing to have faith in the program, trust in the team, and those that constantly have to ridicule the coaches or push their own agendas...I understand the criticisms but how in the hell has constantly criticizing and demeaning your "team" ever helped the overall energy, progress, and motivation of the program as a whole. Recruits and parents alike read these boards and I'm sure if I'm sick of hearing the negativity than it sure as hell is not reflecting well with them. I've been a loyal member of this board for around a year and a half, likely closer to 2, overall it has been a great experience and I have appreciated the input from a majority of the posters here but lately this board has turned more and more into TOS and its just not my style. Granted I may not be one of the "popular" or "special" posters here that have garnered people's praises over subjective statistics but I will ALWAYS support my Huskers through thick and thin....I made it through Callahan......enough said. The quality of coverage and staff support is 2nd to none here and I will continue my subscription specifically for up to date news but will, from here on out, refrain from any participation in this board. I wish the best to HF in his recovery, Kram in his sons recruitment, and the best to the few posters I've had the privilege of having meaningful discussions with this last year or 2, i may not have agreed with you but always valued your opinions. Who knows maybe by the time the season rolls around I may change my mind and attempt to participate once again but at this time I've just had enough cynicism and bickering over bs when in all reality we should be banding together to support the team and current staff. Destroy this statement with DV's or your comments all you want it doesn't make a difference and Is likely to go unnoticed either way. Hope you all have a great summer. GBR!!
mfldhusker and was it humble warrior? all over again. Both came crawling right back.
O/U 1 month until this guy is back.
Ill take the unders.
Hmmm. Not sure what to think.
I wouldn't put n3b in the same category as those two. I get where he is coming from though...
every board is full of sunshine pampers and gloomy Gus's.
I don't even think it's that bad. Humble and Lando are always polite when they post, not like some old posters that would put people down in their replies. Sometimes Panda will get going a little strong but there is an ignore button. I don't even read most of mfld's posts tbh.
I guess I think we have a pretty good mix of posters on this board and for the most part discussions and debates happen without attacking each other. But we could always be reading different posts . Hope to have you back.
I find this board as the most positive Husker recuiting site on the web. You'll always have the extremes on both sides battling it out, but that doesn't happen on here remotely close to the frequency of other sites.
What is great about this site, is there isn't much trolling and the respect between posters is pretty damn good. You see a lot more opinions being posted here as people aren't afraid to post much like you see elsewhere.
Hope you reconsider, but if not I/we wish you the best.
Well said, Skerz.
N3B, we hope you stick around!
So I'm pretty disappointed by this thread. There Is negativity and banter going on. But you will never reach a time in your life without it. It could be friends, coworkers, significant others, in-laws, or even strangers. People who are over opinionated that have different beliefs and views of topics than you will always exist. Some of those people have the balls to express their beliefs but ALL of them have the right to. Wish you the best. Hope to see you back.
If people w to leave then just leave. Idk why you have to write a thread about it...and then end up just coming back. Half pry don't even leave they just stop posting. Nothing against you...just these threads all in all with what purpose they have.
Yep. Doesn't matter where you are in your life, school, work, sports, anywhere. There will also be people with different views and debate. If real life disagreements are handled as respective as they are on here I think many of us will be lucky.
I think this board is great.
A couple things.
You always have people that think differently and talk about how and why they do which is good.
Also this is the offseason there is very little to talk about except recruiting and the coaches and where we are and where we are headed as a program.
cool picture from space
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha I got a downvote for my comment.
I uv you so got you covered.
Also I didn't see anything wrong with your post. I don't know why someone down voted it.
Thinking I should elaborate on this post....
I once said my goodbyes to this board as well. Right after the first Wisconsin game where we cameback and won... I was getting fed up with the constant negativity, and felt a break was necessary. I realized that this board is my "huskers" home, and it is where I discuss 90% of anything relating to the huskers.
In order for this board to thrive we need differing perspectives. We need to challenge each others (albeit respectively) feelings on the program in general, Bo and co, recruiting, so on and so forth... If we were all sunshine pumpers this board would be incredibly boring.
This board is also like a second family. I recently was going through one of the worst times in my life, and not knowing where to turn for support, I came here.
So yes, I can see where n3b is coming from, and I also believe he will be back.
I got a dv for my first post too. I guess I did say some names in that one
As did I for my first one... No biggie though... I think it is best to just ignore both the Upvote and downvotes.
To try and shame/manipulate the board into just pumping the sunshine 24/7...?
It's good to be the King.
Can we as a board agree not to post these "screw you guys, I'm going home" messages anymore? It just seems a bit immature.
Not yet, I'm still on the final draft of mine. I'm going back and forth on a thread title but I figure I have til the UCLA game to make a decision.
In all seriousness I see where he is coming from. It's hard to read at times, the board has taken a turn to negativity the last 4 months or so. I've been lurking alot more instead of posting. On a board this small a few regular posters can change the dynamic of the board and that has happened here. It's still a great board and the info is top notch.
Everyone still respects each other which is great, but it seems lately even Kline12 has fallen into the negative boat. It's hard not to right now with recruiting a bit slow and a defense with so many question marks.
A little effort to stay positive by everyone would go along way.
I know for a fact that either Zack or his dad/family member is on here, as I was contacted by them after posting some inside info I found out, and was asked not to share.
Things are kind of plateauing out right now. Lots of questions on D. The coaches will get it figured out, someone on the D line will step up, and recruiting is picking up.
If you read another board we are actually sitting really well with quite a few good recruits, you wouldn't know it if you just read this board.
You didnt send a picture in on time
Goal in life is to make the Huskers Illustrated Hall Of Fame
it's frustrating sometimes for sure... to see all the negativity around here, but in the off season there's not much more to talk about than recruiting and coaching and both of those things are not looking too great right now. I hope you stick around, don't let the negativity run you off.
Also, I understand why he posted this... it's different than some of the other "goodbye" threads in that he wanted to make sure people knew that the board was going a certain direction. I've seen it become increasingly negative as well, and as long as the recruiting seems to be a stall you'll see the negative nellies come out in full force... when something good happens they usually don't post about it. Stick around, you bring good insights, running from it won't help change the tenor of this board, but posting more and bringing the positivity yourself sure can!
