Am I off in thinking DB would be a good RC?
- played at NU
- understands the history and tradition
- knows his X's and O's
- understands film
- listening to him on the radio he seems like a guy who could sell the program
- coaching experience
I like it. What say you?
I think he's missing something pretty important. Connections with High Schools in any area other than Omaha?
What made you think of Benning?

He could probably play some sort of a role but not the head guy. Like juke said no recruiting experience
You're a funny guy Kram
He doesn't have a lot of recruiting experience but he could hire people who were. The head guy is more than a recruiter, he's also a manager, etc.
Am I missing something?
Good point. RC maybe too much. But some sort of role in the department would be good.
Ur speaking of how quickly I changed my post? Or you just telling me how funny looking I am?
He deleted his first comment. Went to quote it and his new comment came up.
Dang Kram...guy is like 2seconds ahead of me
Yep. So what do we know about DB's managerial and organizational skills? I got nothing.
Don't know DB or any of his accomplishments, etc. I guess an internet search would help you find more info.
Maybe i don't know.......a GA one day
Goal in life is to make the Huskers Illustrated Hall Of Fame
DB I could being in that department in some capacity... as the full fledged RC I don' think so.
I think he would be a asset for helping identify talent.
I think he would be a asset in regards to sell the program
He is very detail oriented
He is a statistics guy
He has a very high football IQ
He does a good job of communicating to people
He doesn't have the ties like others said to hotbeds in the country as of now, doesn't mean he can't build inroads. That does take time though.
Nebraska needs to bring in BIG named guys for the RC title... but surely Damon would be a great fit in the department.
"In the deed, the glory"
I have to say this is an interesing name to throw out and one I really like, but I think we want someone with the existing relationships and experience. I could definitely see Damon transitioning into the role for sure if he was interested.
Ron Zook needs a call. Not sure if he'd consider this position a major step down but he needs to be at least called. That guy is as a good as it gets at recruiting.
