Heard needed more carries and did Cross even play?
Cross should've been redshirted. I get that he is a stud. But if you are only going to get carries in week 1 or blow out games. You should be redshirted. I'll call it now, miss handling by staff

When you have the ball with 3 and half minutes why not bring him in to hammer on the D a bit? I just don't get that play calling. I hope he and Heard both get many more touches.
Heard should get more carries... Heard imo is the best back we have. I love Ameer and Rex dont get me wrong. I just think Heard will be the future for NU. Ameer will be more of a Marlon Lucky back.
"In the deed, the glory"
I tend to agree here. I think Ameer played well. I think Heard should be the feature back in the 2013 season. I don't think Nebraska's choice of runners directly cost them the game.

No it did not but going away from the run did not help.
Beck didn't feed them enough. If anything, this was an advantage we had..probably one of the few we had. UCLA's front was ripe for downhill running.
What?!!! Since when did this staff start mishandling redshirts and player development?
Thats why I feel so safe calling it this early. I still feel bad for Baker
I asked myself the same question earlier...makes no sense to me.
We have to mishandle a few redshirts each year. Have to meet our quota.
In memory of Tusks.
Does anyone remember, did Curry or Moss see the field last night?
Luckily, I have one of those memory flashy thingies like from MIB. I can't recall anything. They told me Nebraska missed the bus from the hotel and was replaced by an intramural squad from the special ed school down the street from the Rose Bowl. Seemed pretty believable
Curry did, Moss didn't
Sadly, the problems in Nebraska are in the coaching offices and the fans that sit in the seats and defend them.
Another interesting piece of the puzzle.......after not playing last week Williams went in after a few snaps and played. That big of a shift in players makes me ask, what happened?
I don't think i saw Seisay play either.
