Is Raymond that good of a recruiter? Or do we overhype him because the staff as a whole is t good.
Connections to Lousiana - good and bad. Nebraska would have got Moore with or without Raymond. And everytime you get someone like Deion LSU will pop up and take him.
He got Mo, but Nebraska could have got him without Raymond as well. Just needed someone there to show him the need and develop a relationship.
I don't care about his Louisana ties, it will hurt Nebraska more than help by spending time in a state where if LSU wants something they will get it. Give me a good recruiter with ties to California. Thanks.
I am laughing hard at this thread.
A ton of people want to bag on Raymond, WHY?
His first year, the secondary struggled some, but let's examine why.
1. Lost 3 NFL players
2. Forced to start and play a safety that he didn't want to play.
3. Forced to play not 2 or even 3 but 8 THAT'S RIGHT 8 Cornerbacks
4. Had no say in playing the people at Nickel and Dime. (In fact, he tried to have P.J. Smith learn both positions and was shot down)
5. Forced to cover in a scheme that involved ZERO pressure on the QB.
What I do know is that several of the current DB's like Raymond significantly more that they liked Sanders and almost to a man, they think Raymond is the better coach

Well, I only see a couple of less-than-thrilled members chiming in on Coach Ray. I expect to see some good changes all around this year, which should benefit Coach Ray and the rest of the staff.
