Bamboo, or else...
C'mon guys. How can you not be happy with this class? I think it's clear our coaches changed their philosophy this year and its starting to pay dividends. Yes we missed a couple of our number 1 options, but we also landed a couple more. Very few teams get every single player they are after. With our geographical handicaps I think we have done a fine job this season. I agree that we need to address OL and DT. I think next year we will hit both of those positions hard. I think we will be successful at it too. I believe this year the hardest position we recruited was linebacker and QB and we accomplished our goals with them fairly early. I predict a similar outcome next year with CB, OT, and DT. It will always be tough for us to hit home runs at every single position year in and year out. As for TE.....meh. We'll be ok. The lynchpin of our offense is not TE. Maybe if we had PSU's offense, but we don't. This is a great class on paper. It would be even greater without the decommitted kids, but it's tough to control some of those. I expect next year to be even better with our early offers and junior days. The coache are doing a great job of getting out there early compared to previous years

Because it's not done yet.
It's not that people aren't happy with it. It's that they aren't making final determinations. As I said above...we have 19 very very good prospects on board right now. We should be happy about those 19. But just because we have those 19 doesn't make this a great class. We still have up to 8 spots available under Big 10 signing rules. That's basically a third of the class. You can't leave a third (8) of your available spots open and have a great class.
