"In the deed, the glory"
And cost us a championship in 2010 because he started a RSFr qb, and then was so STUBBORN not to sit him, when he got injured.
well... there is that. BUT the point is he got us there so we were competing for it.
It's good to be the King.
...It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

That's Crap. You really believe Urb, or any top tier coach turns down a job because they fear not living up to fan expectations? NOBODY has higher expectations than guys like Urb or Saban or Miles do of themselves. Urb said no because of PEDEY. Period.
I wouldn't want to work for that either.
Yep, and Bo probably has higher expectations of himself than I have of him.
That's good stuff right there. :)
That's a good point lando. Regardless of what ANYONE here thinks of Bo, their expecations of him aren't higher than HIS are. Say what you want about the guy, but no one can question his desire to win.
Please do not go.
Seriously, we need you here. There are more than a few of us that agree with you. Me being one.
Oath Before Orders
If Bo leaves Nebraska it will be for one of two things
1 - he got fired
2 - he got offered more money to do an easier job.

Wow. Pretty fragile ego, m/k. You dish out quite a bit, and most appreciate you for your candor, but you can't take the come-backs? Very surprised. Oh well, we all make choices in life. Best to you.
The ill informed, incessant attacks from uninformed folks really ruins the fun of being on a board. Why you are piling on and in a round about way dancing on his grave shows where you fall. It is unfortunate bc it weakens this great site.
There are only two reasons to date a girl you've already dated: breast implants.
I'm not piling on. Just making an observation. I have always stated that I appreciate m/k's candor, and have never taken him to task for his opinions. I'm one of the good guys here, and would think that m/k wouldn't cut and run just because of a handful of folks that argued with him.
The observation is that I was surprised that m/k had such a fragile ego over forum arguments that he publicly decided to walk out of the forum and fray. I just had more respect for him than that.
I most certainly don't like to see any member leave due to a pretty civil disagreement, which I believe was the case herein.
I wish him the best, that isn't an endorsement of wanting him to leave.
I've seen this scenario play out on other boards and to me, it's always pretty humorous.
Of course, we have the "departure announcement", which is likely the biggest ego card you play in a forum like this. The old "this board will suck without me trick". Hardly.
M/K and a few others may have some connection to the program, but that does not make them the sole proprietors of informed opinion on a message board. The fact that such people would even make it known what their connections are could be construed as a "my opinion is more important than yours" ploy. Never bought it, never will.
Besides, it's VERY LIKELY that people who are more connected to the program than m/k are also participants here, they just don't advertise it or make it the foundation of their opinions. And I'll just leave it at that...
