Solid post... solid!!!
I never route against Nebraska.
I have however bet against Nebraska
Predicted losses by Nebraska
Cursed out coaches and players whilst watching the games
I do not route against Nebraska ever. I always want Nebraska to win, always!

"In the deed, the glory"
And therein, lies the end to the argument.
What the haters won't admit, is that for them, it is preferable that the team fail to a point where Bo needs to be fired instead of the team succeeding well enough for him to stay on.
The dislike for Bo actually super cedes their desire to see the team succeed. They won't admit it (then again, maybe they would), but it literally drips from every word they type. Getting rid of Bo is more important than the team winning games.
The fact that we in the B1G can lose to eachother and eachother up and be looked upon as garbage while SEC PAC12 BIGXII do the same, have the same records but are leaps and bounds better than us... I hate this standpoint and I think its BS.
The biggest thing is they are all completely different brands of football. Thats like comparing a hamburger to a NY strip. They are both beef, come from the same cow... just different so to comapre them isn't fair unless you even the playing field. Thats also doesn't mean comparing like loses/wins. Each and every game is different, and the outcomes of those games with never ever be exactly the same.
As for winning the B1G, PLEASE GOD WIN THE B1G!!! (I don't like that we are going to hear about a * nex to it though since we lost to tOSU, and never rematched)
Saying we can't compete with the top teams is silly MK, come on I know you views as you told me yesterday and I didn't agree with you. We finish at worst top5 in SEC top 2-3 PAC12 top1-2 ACC...
As for what I want to hear about, I want NU to be mentioned preseason as confernce favorites, shot at BCS games each year, and a possibly NC run/talk 1 out of 5-6 years. I don't think this is unreasonable, and it can be obtained if we do our own duedilligence as a team.
I do agree with a lot of things Meyerkids says and thinks, were we differ is I am a optimist when it comes to Bo and this program. Do I think Bo is the best we could have, no, but I think he can be. I have stated before that I think Bo just needs to refocus his attentions and allow others to do their jobs thus taking more pressure off of him and then allowing him to hold his staff accountable. You can't fault your staff for shortcomings if you override them with your own. You can't send someone down the river if they don't actually have any input.
At this point Bo isn't a great HC, he is a good coach however, i just think he is a little over his head in the headcoaching department, but he is learning on the job like the rest of the staff (god I hate that)
I want Nebraska to win, if someone comes calling for Bo after the season, I think we should allow him to walk if someone ponies up crazy money... that said he wins the Rose, I want us to do everything in our power to show him he is wanted and we support him. (granted I still think he is extremely stubborn in a lot of aspects about his coaching and wish he would see some of the things hurting him)
Taylor, I don't like him as a QB, never have... I have made that clear since day one. But I will cheer for him in every game as I always do. Even though he makes me wanna break things and kick harmless animals.
THis is a solid post as well. I think this sums up the majority of us fans and how we react.
I don't want us to lose. Hence the reason I have CLEARLY stated I hope he chooses to go elsewhere.
I want us to win period.
Find where I have ever said I want to lose
Not getting our asses handed to us every time we play a good team on the road would be a nice start.
A conference title every few years or so?
Maybe we win one this year? It's pretty clear we aren't the best team in the conference though. (63-38)
We played on the road against a good team in UCLA and only lost by 6 and were tied entering the 4th quarter. Does that qualify? I'm guessing no since it would disprove your point.
There's a group of our fan base that will never be happy as long as Bo Pelini is our coach, regardless of what we do.
you are correct in some fans won't be happy with Bo no matter what happens.
I am not one of those. I don't think Bo will ever get us to a point where i should or would change my mind. Winning the Big 10 this year isn't going to do it for ME. That being said, should Bo take this program and accomplish things that this program should accomplish, I WILL change my mind, admit my fault, and jump on the band wagon. I simply don't think he will and again, winning the Big 10 this year doesn't do it for ME.
However, I will be happy with Bo as our coach if he gets us some where
And there will always be people on the internet that jump to conclusions because of an opinion. To answer your question, no I don't think the 6 point loss in which we surrendered the second most yards in school history to an above average offense meets the standard of this program.
What loss does meet the standard of this program?
Sums up how I feel as well.
Oath Before Orders
Winning the Big 10 this year isn't my end-all expectations but I don't understand how anyone can come to the conclusion that we can't get to where we want to be if we win the conference this year. Especially when next year shapes up even better than this one did.
You mentioned you wanted Bo gone after a BCS bowl. That is ridiculous to me. I don't expect you or anyone else to proclaim Bo the second coming after winning the conference this year, but to want him gone after we do it. No offense, but anytime I hear someone say something like that leads me to believe there is some sort of agenda there.
Not losing ever. We should be able to run up the score on NFL teams. I wear a red tinfoil hat and my car plays the Husker fight song when I honk the horn.
The sad thing is...i think you believe that deep down
Some people will complain no matter what if we lose a game.
Sorry, I have to call b.s. on that tripe.
If you so ardently "wanted us to win", you would do what most Husker fans do and derive some satisfaction out of that happening. Guys like you never do that.
Where have you said anything positive about Bo or the team over the past 3 weeks? All you've done is bitch about how bad the teams we beat were and do all you can to discredit the wins. We did, in fact get the wins, but your comments reek of someone totally dissatisfied with those results. If you "want us to win, period", why in the hell do you bitch and make excuses when we do exactly that?
Simple. You hate the coach and you want him gone. Any wins we get while he is here just get in the way so they are excused or downplayed. They are not treated as something you "wanted" and you know it. The only wins you "want" would be for the next head coach, not any that are occurring under Bo Pelini.
That is a very well thought out argument, well done!
Is it me or are there a lot of Psych majors in this thread?
Well said buddy
Ignorance is what it is. Give me a break.
I won money on NU - surely didn't want them to lose.
my God-Daughters father starts for the team, he is one of my best friends - Want him to win for sure.
Those 2 alone disprove your thoughts.
I want us to win. I said that after we got to the rose bowl i hoped someone would come along and whisk Bo away. I said i didn't care what happened in the Rose Bowl because I think us getting there alone might be enough for an SEC team to try and "steal" Bo.
I have plane tickets to California in case we make the Rose Bowl. Why the hell would I go, take my wife, and 2 of my kids, and spend the money on airline tickets, hotel room, food, and game tickets if i wanted us to lose.
I hope we win every game we ever play.
If we go 14-0 next year and win a NC i will kiss Bo's ass and shout outloud how wrong I was.
shyte, this isn't hard to understand. I don't think we will get back to the elite with Bo. and after 5 years my thoughts are a hell of alot more right than yours
