I think the MSU gm will decide who makes it and that favors you guys since your home.
Hope you guys beat UCLA!
Conf outlook? Your thoughts?
At Michigan and at Penn St will be tough but I hope u guys can beat the wolverines. With tough home gms vrs Sparty and NW you guys could go 8-4 or 10-2.
I think you go 10-2 but finish behind Mich st even if you beat them.
Never in the history of Michigan State football have they beat us. That will not change. Michigan will not be dominant. That said they are the only conference loss I see as probable. There are other games we COULD lose but I don't think there will be a team with a better record when the CG rolls around. I predict one in conference loss and a loss to tOSU in the title game.
Sorry if that last post came off as arrogant, I just think our offense will be too much for MSU next year.
Thanks for stopping by the husker board.
I think there are a lot of "if's" right now.
If Martinez improves as much this year compered to last year as he did last season compared to 2 seasons ago, NU will put up like 40-45 points per game against every opponent we face.
If the young guys we have on the d-line get some playing time, and if the young line backers we have coming up are as good as advertised, our defense with be pretty nasty.
The potential to be very very good is there. Our schedule is pretty cushy as well. IF all things come together, watch out.
I think UCLA gives us a hell of a game, Michigan is going to be really good, Northwestern will be a tough game, but I do not see MSU being all that good this next season; therefore, we will go 12-0 at best 10-2, maybe 9-3 at the minimum before the CCG.
I agree with that but your deffense scares me giving so many PTs late in the yr. Buckeyes had some issues but seemed to get better. I don't know you prob had some injuries affect you guys I had really hoped you would beat uga and they are a tough match up but your def gave up a lot of points even if done of it is due to the off committing turnovers.
Dantonio is also a good coach and Im expecting a much better spartan team. Again I think you guys beat them but you play :@ Michigan and @ penn st and you play NW and MSU at home. I think it's possible you go 7-1 in conference but I see 6-2 and think @Penn St is a harder gm than ppl think.I think Wolverines are in for a 7-5 season . Gardner is not impressive passing vrs a good secondary. Michigan better get the running game going.

Your post wasn't arrogant. I will show you some arrogant Wisconsin fans if you want to see what arrogance looks like. Last year there was a person saying they were a top 5 team nationally and I called him a lunatic and I was right.
Turnovers. If Nebraska is + or even in turnovers in every game they play, they'll walk into the CCG, possibly undefeated. However, that is incredibly unlikely. I'll say 10-2 and they split division title, but miss the CCG on tiebreaker
It's as simple as this i feel
with our schedule, returning senior qb, our weapons on offense, and our whole coaching staff has returned which helps and the athleticism we are getting on defense with Rose, Brown, etc
If we don't get to the BIG championship game its a huge disappointment
Goal in life is to make the Huskers Illustrated Hall Of Fame
What makes you think MSU will improve? don't they lose a lot on D?
I don't see another team in our division going 10-2... I think we win it outright again, going 11-1.
They don't have to go 10-2. They could go 6-6, so long as they go 6-2 in conference and beat us (not that that's a likely scenario). I think people are underrating Michigan and overlooking Northwestern (who, admittedly, have a rough conference schedule). While I think we're the favorite, I do not think we're an odds-on favorite, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of those other schools puts together a nice season.
Hope you're right with your 11-1 call! It'd be nice to get over the 4-loss hump before postseason play begins!
Depends on the Defense. I'm not nearly as optimistic about next year as others on the board are. The Offense should be lights out. I thought the Defense would struggle this year, and I think it will again next year. I don't see any significant changes on D until 2014 when some of the front seven has a chance to develop.
The main thing I'm nervous about on defense is our line as a whole
1.who replaces Eric Martin as our main pass rusher
2. How does our DTs play without Baker anchoring it
1. My hope is that Gregory replaces Martin as far as speed off the edge is concerned.
2. Valentine will have to be the anchor/unmoveable force on the interior. I project he will be a 4yr starter barring injury. The other tackle spot will be up for grabs between Rome, Williams and Curry.
My biggest division concern is Michigan. They looked pretty good with Devin Gardner at quarterback last season.
I think we'll return to the B1G Title game and lose to OSU. But it's just WAY too early to play this guessing game.
A boy, a Twitter page, and the aspiration that you follow him. It's what this country was founded upon.
Gardner didn't do that well vrs top teams and they need Green or a rb to have a breakout year since Denard is gone. Their deff is not that good but their coordinator is really good. They will get better as the year goes along. Their schedule alOng with NW is not so easy that where I think Mich St battles you guys for the top spot on the div race.
He played better than Robinson. I'm not saying he's the next coming, but the guy can drive the bus and that team can make waves with stable quarterback play.
