From a fan input and interest level, nothing rules the roost in the American sporting world more than football.
Be it from the professional level of this weeks Super Bowl, or the collegiate level of the Cornhuskers, Tide, and Buckeyes; nothing sparks a flame in the hearts of the sporting American world more than football. Not baseball. Not hockey. No, not even the NBA.
Football is the newfound baseball amongst the apple pie, ice cream, and Chevrolet loving American. Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, and Lou Gehrig have long been replaced by Jim Brown, Joe Montana, and now Tom Brady.
Football rules. Well at least for now it does.
Sadly, I'm getting the feeling it may well all end within the next 20 years. Maybe even sooner.
Where does football exist in America come 2020? Does it exist beyond flag football? Will 90K fans still be matriculating to Memorial Stadium every Saturday?
