Andy Reid is out in Philly

Norv Turner out in San Diego

    Pat Shurmur in Cleveland

Romeo Crennel in KC but Scott Pioli is safe which is kinda suprising

Jim Schwartz's status under review by Detroit Lions, sources say - ESPN Chicago

Unhappy with a tattered team culture that has existed under Jim Schwartz, the Detroit Lions coach's job has been under review by the Ford family that owns the team, according to league sources.

Don't believe that to be the case anymore. He may not get fired today, but all signs are pointing to Pioli getting the ax as well.

Why stop there???? That's a decent starting point I guess, but I could keep the list going.

The biggest thing is that nobody will come in and work for him, period. No respectable head coach will take the job and that's a huge problem. This is one of the top franchises in the NFL. The fan base, when the team is competitive, is second to none, the stadium is brand new, the atmosphere is untouched in the NFL. It's a flat out joke that this team is as bad as it is right now and their playoff victory drought is as long as it is. There is NO excuse for it.

Todd Haley was also a terrible head coach choice

Example of Pioli's shallow pool to pick from. Again, NO proven head coach will work for him, NONE!

The Haley hire doesn't look as bad today as it did 12 months ago though. I firmly believe that once Haley knew he was out, he lost games intentionally and it was obvious by continuing to run Tyler Palko out there at QB week after week and INT after INT.

That's how i felt about Gene Smith in Jacksonville at the end

Mularkey was a joke of a hire, reached for way to many of his draft picks Gabbert,Alualu, Branch, Harvey i could go on and on

Look at his free agent busts Lenard Robinson huge guaranteed money..bust

Aaron Kampman and Clint Sessions both huge guaranteed money AFTER coming off injures and they both get injured

And i could go on and on

That move surprised me as well and yes, Clark should be dialing him up today.

  • Who do you Chiefs fans realistically see yourself getting as a head coach?

At Jacksonville i don't see them getting any of the"hot names" like a Chip Kelly or Andy Reid but maybe a Jay Gruden from Cincinnati i would like, Bill O Brien from Penn St or a Mike Zimmer

    Andy Reid
    Lovie Smith

    Someone proven.

Listening to Clark right now, Pioli is either out or he has been completely crippled in his role. Clark says that the new coach will be hired by himself and that the team will now be structured where the new head coach will report directly to him, NOT the GM. First time in franchise history that's been the case. Clark has made his point clear that he's in charge and is going to do everything in his power to keep from having a year like this again.

I like his new found attitude!

Sounds like Pioli's fate will be decided upon in the next couple of weeks. He's either gone or has been severely demoted.

  • Seriously, how do the Jets fire their GM and not send Ryan out the door with him? I always thought New York was more Broadway than circus acts! He is nothing but a distraction, I'm sure he is a good coach, but I could never tell cause his mouth was always getting in the way. He would be better off being a coordinator somewhere so they could keep him from getting his face in front of the camera. The last couple years have been a joke for that team...they say he pumps up his team by running his mouth...news flash, it pumps the opposing team up too!

    cyoke

  • What sucks is my Broncos are going to lose our coordinators. McCoy is getting a HC job for sure. Jack Del Rio probably is as well. I don't want to lose JDR. McCoy I could accept.

But, what a great situation in Denver right now. Love my Broncos. SUPER BOWL BOUND!!!!

That's not accurate. The browns are going after Nick Saban 110%, to the tune of $10 mil a year from what I hear.
