Bear Loves This Place, Expresses it in his 5000th Post

  • I'll take this time to share my love for Husker Illustrated and its members. I joined 15 months ago. I'd never had a membership to a website like this, and simply wanted to get the scoop on the 2012 recruiting class. I had no idea what the overall experience would be like and never intended to keep my subscription. After signing day had come and gone, I considered dropping my membership. I thought about it and almost pulled the trigger once or twice, but simply couldn't do it. This place is too good to turn down.

    The Staff is top notch. I'm not sure about other boards, but I doubt many are as lucky to have 3 quality guys running the show like we do here at HI. Kevin, Michael, and Mike are as good as it gets. They provide insight that I am confident in, and it doesn't appear they are in the market of 1UPing other companies. They just want to provide an honest service that subscribers can trust. I trust 247 and this staff.

    To add to it, this board has some amazing people as well. Sometimes it feels like you are fighting with your brother, but at the end of the day it is an atmosphere that provokes thoughts and opinions on the subject matter we love most, our Huskers. The board is respected throughout the 247 community as a knowledgeable and friendly community and I am proud to be a part of that.

    I officially became a Husker fan in 2006 when I chose to attend Nebraska, but I have long known of the history, culture, and prestige that is synonymous with Nebraska and its football. My friends in Chicago always ask me who I'm cheering for when I watch Nebraska play Illinois, and I tell them this. I've experienced a lot of college athletics in my 24 years and what they say is true. There is no place like Nebraska. So how can I root against them?
