For everyone that is new to 247 Sports and Huskers Illustrated, !! For those that have been here a while, this may be a refresher or update for ya guys. Some of you may be used to other sites or message boards, but 247 offers a whole variety of different features. Hopefully this will help you out getting started….

The Bone Yard

The Bone Yard is the name for the Message Board on Huskers Illustrated.

Board Rules

The Dashboard- With the Dashboard feature you can view Most Viewed Topics, Most Active Topics, Most Up-Voted Topics, Most Down-Voted Topics, Hall of Fame, Hall of Shame, and Most Followed.

-For a topic to be rated, rate the first post in the thread by clicking the green Upvote arrow or the red Downvote arrow. You can rate any post the same way. This is also how a poster becomes “Rated.” Under the poster’s name you can find their number of stars, and by holding the mouse over those stars you can see their actual rank.

-The Blue Board- Main football message board.

-The Green Board- Main basketball message board.

-247Rumors- Formerly known as the established FootballRumorMill.com, 247Rumors is your home for the latest chatter around college football, including coaching changes, recruiting and other relevant information.

-There is a Private Message feature, so if you have a question for a staff member or another poster and dont want to post it, PM them by clicking the white envelope by their name.

-Navigation throughout 247 is insanely simple. Next to each thread you will notice a Green Envelope. When this is lit up, that means you have viewed this thread. If there is a little orange guy on there, that means you have posted in that thread. You can click on this green envelope when it is lit up and it will take you to the last post you read. This eliminates scanning through the entire thread to find where you left off.

-You can “Follow” any board. When you do this, up in the right hand corner of your screen, under “My Boards”, you can quickly flip though boards without having to go to each team site first.

-You can feel free to post on other team boards. This is great for in season discussions.

-BYC Badges are handed out to regular posters and who contribute to the board. There is no set time period when these are handed out, just when they earned. Some have a "12" on them indicating the first Dirty Dozen given out. Also, check out the Bone Yard Crew Thread. This is your all things OT. A simple "What's up BYC? " and you will make friends in a hurry.

- 247 has the best Mobile Site in the business. At the bottom of the page you will be able to find this feature. This is great for smartphones and tablets.

- Player profiles include Interests, Timelines, Photos, Stats, Twitter References, etc….

-If there are photos thread, you can click on the first photo in the thread and it will pop up bigger. Then you can see every photo in the thread just by using your right arrow button. No need to open and close each thread to see all the photos. Can scroll through them all.

-When attaching a video to a post, please use the attach video link instead of the attach link, link. Will allow you to watch the video on the site inside the thread without leaving. Likewise, use attach link area for links and attach photo area for pictures. Helps with functionality/features to use the correct method to attach to the post.
