    • I'm just happy to get him cus he sounds pretty pumped to be a husker! We need more like that.

    • I have a feeling the days of Nebraska's defensive front seven being big and slow are coming to an end.

    • Getting this kid to 280-90 to play DT might be some tough work. Does he have that kind of frame? Sounds like he was told he would play on the outside. As long as he isn't as slow as Meredith

    • Super glad to see our coaches out getting speed for our D-Line! Great job coach M! Lets keep this momentum rolling!! GBR! Welcome to Huskernation Mr. Miles

Welcome to Husker Nation young stud! What is he rated as? He is a DE and not DT correct? With stats like this: 73 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks and a 2nd team All Ohio State from a traditional power house he has to be good enough for us don't you agree?

If this Miles respond to coaching he would excel IMO?

      where'd you get those stats?

Nevermind...saw a free article on TOS that said he had 73 tackles 12 QB sacks and 17 tackles for loss against the best competition in Ohio. Impressive statistics for sure.

    • Okay... just found some Senior film... Here's my analysis:

Kid is very sound... you can tell he's been coached well. He reads his keys, doesn't over pursue and plays patiently. He tackles well but doesn't hit hard from what I saw. He keeps back side contain and plays within their defensive system. Intelligent player.

He's strong and knows how to use leverage to his advantage. He also has a good motor and a very fast first step. The best thing about him is that he understands how to use his hands.

Watching his pursuit he understands angles and uses that to his advantage making him appear faster than he is on tape. He's not a fast DE, not sure if he ever will be. Lacks the athleticism that I think we are usually looking for in our DEs right now. He's more Cam Meredith than Eric Martin. However, I think he has up side, but 3 star is definitely the way to go with this one. Welcome to the fam sir.

    • Building a pipeline. He may not be the biggest catch, but he comes from a very successful high school program. A foot in the door is never a bad thing. Project or not, this isn't a bad thing. Kid has potential and could be the start to some decent recruiting out of that school. I'm ok with it.

They are going to beef him up and move him inside. He will be a DT.

    • where can we find video on him?

    • By the way, who added the letters IOWAxO to my username and why? I'm supposed to be IowaHusker79. Can you please fix this?

Agreed. That's the only way this signing makes any sense.

This may actually be the main reason for this offer. My understanding is that the staff also offered Eric Glover-Williams from the same school yesterday to become the first school to offer this kid who right now is considered to be the #1 prospect in Ohio for the 2015 class! He may be a QB, but most likely a receiver or RB. Apparently a great athlete.blah

    • From Klein's analysis I would agree that he is eventual DT. Would take time to get up to size with good weight. We probably feel good about DE with McMullen, Moss, Gregory, Nader & another year for Ankira(spelling way off). Hope for big things from the 1st 4.

Yeah, I see him as a DT project... with a class this size you can take a chance on a few projects and he definitely seems to be that. He has the potential to be really good.

edit: also - Ankrah and Natter biggrin

Where are you getting the idea that he is a good speed guy? His film and 5.12 forty time say otherwise.

      Trash Angel

    • klein great assessment. i just watched his senior film and it is better. i feel more optimistic about him but if he moves inside i like that collins kids film better and that kid is bigger and might not be as big of a project
