Welcome to the VIP Room, the cornerstone feature of HuskersIllustrated.com that takes you behind the scenes and brings you the very latest on University of Nebraska athletics.
We are approaching the end of the "dead period" as 2012 comes to a close, but recruiting season is ready to heat up as we inch closer to Signing Day.
The Huskers have a missed on a few key junior college targets, but that doesn't mean NU doesn't have a plan going forward. In fact, NU is ready to hit the road running again as soon as coaches are allowed back on the recruiting trail.
One position of focus will be tight end, and NU is targeting a talented junior college prospect there.
At running back, the focus this week was on a player who is already committed to the Huskers - Texas high school tailback Adam Taylor. The standout from Katy turned in a stellar performance in the state championship game, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see some schools come after the standout runner. Will that impact Taylor's pledge to NU? We'll tell you what we know.
We also give you the scoop on a few other top targets left on the board and where the Huskers stand with each one.
