Postgame 2-4-7: Huskers fall 71-51

Nebraska fell to 1-6 in Big Ten play with Tuesday's loss to Illinois.

Illinois dominated Nebraska on the boards and D.J. Richardson scored 30 points to lead the Illini pas the Huskers 71-51.

    • I watched the game on the Big Ten Network. It is apparent that Nebraska just is not as talented as we all wish they would be but what they lack in talent they make up for in desire. Coach Miles has them playing hard and they have tremendous heart. Eventually they will get the right guys for Miles' system and Nebraska men's basketball will take off.

My thought exactly. Was excited at times, but mostly feel like they will be playing catch up in most games. Either they look out of sorts offensively or Talley/Gallegos are monopolizing the offensive touches.

    • Huskers really really need to work on shooting. 9-minute stretches without scoring--wow. And it's not like Illinois was locking everybody down. Guys have got to hit the open shots.
