The two things I have been most disappointed in is punt returning and punt cover. It always seems like there is never room for the returner because guys are on top of him when he catches the ball and the opposite for coverage. I have been happy with Fischer in recruiting, but it feels like special teams suffered for it.

The coverage was better when we had a group of great defenders(open field tacklers) Haag, Prince etc. Two or three with that ability can stop the returns. I kind of wondered on our returns also. Did anybody slow down their headhunters? Not sure where the problem was.

There are lots of holes to fill on the special teams. We have to do better on the special teams this year. I expect to see several of the young LB'ers on the kick off and punt teams this year. Better athletes should help special teams alot.

I agree, we need to have playmakers on special teams. Guys need to be ball hawks and attack the returners!

I always wondered why we didn't use Jamal Turner as our primary punt returner. The kid can make big plays if given the chance to.
